This is a very good thing for the buyer because even after you have applied stain to your flooring, you will definitely want to use a sealant, so buying it in one package with directions to match just makes sense. Is It Hard To Apply Garage Floor Stain?
Stain is extremely easy to apply. Unless you consider a garage floor mat, a stain is, by far, the easiest one of the garage floor finishes that you can use. Of course, just like every other garage floor coating, you need to clean the concrete for it to turn out well. Otherwise, staining concrete is quite a bit more like painting than using, say, garage floor paint! After all, the biggest part is applying the stain to the concrete, and for that, most use a paint roller.
Does Garage Floor Stain Cost A Lot?
Stain is not at all expensive, being the cheapest of all garage floor coatings, unless you also add in the price of sealant. Even then, though, it generally compares to epoxy garage floor paint when installed yourself, and is a lot cheaper if having your flooring installed by someone else. This is because, other than cleaning, applying garage floor stain consists of only one coat, instead of the multitude of coats, as well as the mixing that has to be done for epoxy garage floor coating.

There’s really only one reason to use a stain, either inside the home or outside in your garage, and that is for looks. Most people don’t have a need for any kind of protection, except maybe from the elements, but they do like unique things, which garage floor stain definitely is.
